What is the purpose of the interview day?
Remember, the interview day is as much for you to take a look at our program as it is for us to get to know you. No one is going to ask you to present a case or put you on the spot. So, relax, have fun and talk to as many people as possible to see if GW is right for you! We recommend you give yourself some extra time to explore Washington, DC as well.
What should I wear?
Typically applicants wear business attire, such as a suit.
What should I bring?
You will need a photo ID in order to enter our hospital. We recommend you bring a pad and pen to take notes on our program, which will help with your decision-making later. Your interviewers will have all received your ERAS application so you need not bring copies. We will provide breakfast and lunch on your interview day. If you need to bring luggage, you will be able to store it at our hospital.
Where is GW Hospital?
We are located on the corner of 23rd Street, NW and I Street, NW in the historic Foggy Bottom neighborhood of Washington, DC. We are easy to get to on the Metro (Orange/Blue/Silver lines to the “Foggy Bottom-GWU” stop), which is located in the courtyard of our hospital. If you choose to drive instead, you will receive a validated parking ticket to park in our designated parking garage (see “Travel” tab).
