Welcome to the Lynch Lab

The Lynch laboratory is a member of the Research Center for the Eradication of HIV within the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Tropical Medicine at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C.

The discovery of broadly neutralizing antibodies able to neutralize multiple virus strains has changed our perception of how the immune system deals with rapidly mutating viruses such as HIV. We are exploring the characteristics of these antibodies as potential therapeutic agents against HIV infection as well as investigating ways to promote their production through vaccination.
