This class is free and appropriate for anyone living with cancer and their caregivers. Yoga provides coping tools for the physical and psychological challenges of a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Working with the breath and engaging in mindfulness and relaxation techniques can help you manage pain, depression, anxiety, insomnia, and fatigue, while gentle movement and stretching can improve flexibility, balance and strength in those living with cancer. Participants have reported significant improvements in their overall quality of life, as well as support with stress and mood, sleep quality, and severity of symptoms. And one of the biggest benefits of this class is the nurturing, supportive community that has been created in a weekly safe space.
Mats are provided, but you must RSVP to attend this group. Free parking provided.
