The recent news about the Ebola outbreak in West Africa is a concern. As a medical institution, we want to reassure our internationally diverse community of students, residents and faculty, that GW is taking the situation very seriously and has plans and procedures in place in case of an emergency. We are closely monitoring the situation in Africa and we are also in regular contact with local and federal agencies. For further information regarding the current situation and recommendations the following websites are available for review.
This June, the Office of International Medicine Programs (IMP) launched the Summer Medical and Research Enrichment Program, which welcomed 13 international medical students from Saudi Arabia to GW’s campus.
