Where:

Ross Hall #737

In healthy liver, liver sinusoidal endothelial cells (LSECs) maintain hepatic stellate cell quiescence, whereas capillarized LSECs in (pre-) fibrotic liver lose this function. This talk will review how LSECs maintain hepatic stellate cell quiescence, what capillarization actually is and why capillarized LSECs lose the ability to maintain stellate cell quiescence, thereby setting the stage for hepatic fibrosis.

Lunch will be served!
