World Cancer Day is a chance to raise our collective voices in the name of improving general knowledge around cancer and dismissing misconceptions about the disease.

Sign up below to participate in Curb Cancer for World Cancer Day with the GW Cancer Institute. You will be sent a list of goals after registration from which you choose 5 to stick to for the week between World Cancer Day (Tuesday, February 4th) and LHWC's Annual Health Fair (Wednesday, February 12th). Goals include drinking 8 glasses of water each day; getting 150 minutes of exercise throughout the course of the week; and substituting red meat with lean chicken meat, seafood, beans, nuts, and seeds for the week. You will also be given a sheet to track your progress.

When you complete your goals and drop off your tracking sheet at the LHWC Annual Health Fair, you will be entered to win prizes such as massage, nutrition counseling, and fitness training sessions from LHWC and gift cards from Founding Farmers, Yoga District, and more!

Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to sign up as individuals or as teams. There will be prizes for individual students, team of students, individual faculty/staff, team of faculty/staff, and team of mixed students and faculty/staff.

All proceeds will go to support the work of the GW Cancer Institute, a non-profit, which aims to set the standard for patient-centered care and eliminate cancer health disparities.
