Dear AΩA Alpha-chapter faculty, student-inductees, new faculty and house-staff inductees, and our invited guests - Our annual AΩA Induction Banquet will be held at Maggiano’s in Chevy Chase on Thursday, May 16th. The banquet details including the ticket prices and the driving directions are provided below. By April 26th please visit and respond at our banquet site to let us know you will be attending and how many guests you will bringing.

We are pleased to announce that Mona Siddiqui, MD has accepted the invitation to be our 2019 AΩA Alpha Chapter Visiting Professor. The student-led invitation was inspired by Dr Siddiqui’s distinguished career in government service and her leadership in healthcare innovation and delivery. We are proud that Dr Siddiqui is a graduate of the GWU Internal Medicine Residency Program(GWRES ’08); she has completed an Evidence Based Policy/Data Science Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University and holds degrees from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Stanford University and Harvard School of Public Health. Dr Siddiqui currently serves as the Chief Data Officer at the Department of Health and Human Services.
As our Visiting Professor, Dr Siddiqui will be giving our annual chapter-sponsored Internal Medicine Grand Rounds at noon on May 16th 2019 and also be our featured speaker at the annual AΩA Induction Banquet, later that evening.
