Please join us for a reception hosted by the School of Medicine and Health Sciences Office of Diversity and Inclusion in honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., an American civil rights leader.

Through non-violent civic activism, King successfully advocated for human rights issues such as health equity, economic equality, and racial justice. King is best remembered for his "I Have a Dream" speech delivered during the 1963 March on Washington.

The GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences commits to "advancing the dream" by fostering our beloved community, embracing the challenge of eliminating health disparities, and transforming health care to enrich and improve the lives of those we serve. At the event, attendees will reflect on what inclusion means at GW SMHS.

We hope you will join us as we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for his leadership and advocacy for civil rights. Hot apple cider and cupcakes will be served.
