Study finds nasogastric decompression is not associated with a reduction in need for surgery or bowel resection

Dr. Andrew MeltzerDr. Meltzer and research coordinators Lorna Richards and Paige Kulie co-authors on the study published in the American Journal of Emergency Medicine. The primary objective of the study was to determine if nasogastric decompression was associated with lower rates of surgery, bowel ischemia or length of stay.
