#FinishIt: Media Resources & Tools to Help Coalitions End Tobacco Use

This webinar presented an array of media resources and tools available to assist CCC coalitions, cancer centers, employers, and advocacy groups in their tobacco control efforts. Specific topics included:
  • An overview of the CDC Tips Campaign along with resources and tools available to coalitions presented by Jane Mitchko, MEd, Deputy Associate Director, CDC/National Center for Injury Prevention and Control.
  • An overview of the FDA's first youth tobacco prevention campaign, "The Real Cost," which targets at-risk youth aged 12-17 who are open to smoking or already experimenting with cigarettes, review of tools and resources available to coalitions presented by Kathleen Crosby, Director, Office of Health Communication and Education, FDA.
  • An overview of the newly launched TRUTH campaign and practical ideas and examples of how coalitions can use and tailor the materials to fit their needs presented by William (Bill) Furmanski, Senior Vice President, Communications, American Legacy Foundation.
