Lung cancer is the leading cancer killer among both women and men. Early detection is critical to fighting lung cancer, and low-dose CT scans are recommended to screen individuals at high risk and can help catch the disease when it is more likely to be curable.
Please join the American Lung Association and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center on Tuesday, March 19 at 2:00 pm CT to learn about the State Lung Cancer Screening Coverage Project. Speakers will:
- Discuss the importance of Medicaid coverage of lung cancer screening for individuals at high risk of lung cancer,
- Release a new analysis of lung cancer screening coverage in state Medicaid fee-for-service programs, and
- Highlight resources from a new toolkit for public health coalitions, healthcare providers and other public health professionals to improve coverage of lung cancer screening in individual state Medicaid programs.
