In August 2018, GW convened a symposium of 27 key stakeholders to discuss the care of incarcerated transgender patients.
Stakeholders included representatives from correctional organizations, advocacy groups, research institutions, and justice-involved patients.
Findings from the symposium were published in the Journal of Correctional Health Care in June 2019.
