Application Process

The Division of Otolarynology will use the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) to process and review candidates' eligibility. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, traditional requirements and deadlines have been modified. A letter from your Dean, up to three (3) letters of recommendation (not all have to be from an otolaryngologist), an official transcript, a personal statement, a curriculum vitae, USMLE Step 1 scores, and a photograph should be submitted to ERAS.  Documents may be updated via ERAS.

We are approved for a total of 8 otolaryngology residents and we accept trainees on an alternating schedule. For the 2021-2022 interview season, we will be matching TWO (2) PGY-1 spots (PGY-1 start date of July 1, 2022). For the 2022-2023 interview season, we will be matching ONE (1) PGY-1 spot (PGY-1 start date of July 1, 2023). Interview dates for the 2022 Match will be on January 11, 2022 (AM session and PM session). Interviews for the 2022 Match will be VIRTUAL via an encrypted Zoom platform.

We do NOT require a program specific paragraph in your personal statement.
