About The Office of Student Opportunities

The Office of Student Opportunities (OSO) was established in 2005 with an eye towards training a new generation of health care leaders. To enrich students’ experiences beyond the classroom, the OSO offers professional development, advising, programs, and resources. The Track Program, one of the OSO’s signature programs, offers nine tracks of study designed to enhance what students are learning in the medical curriculum. In support of exceptional opportunities, including, research-related summer internships and international electives, the OSO administers a variety of scholarship programs. Whether learning from lawmakers on Capitol Hill about health policy, conducting research at NIH, serving in local community health organizations, or gaining a global perspective on fighting disease, our students are able to take advantage of an array of exciting and challenging opportunities offered through the OSO.
