Medical Student Clerkship

The Department of Ophthalmology at The George Washington University is proud to offer two and four-week clerkships for medical students. The student will participate in the diagnosis and management of medical and surgical ocular disease, in both clinical and operating room settings. This clerkship includes comprehensive outpatient examinations, as well as cornea, glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, oculoplastics, and retina consultations. Students will learn basic techniques in slit lamp biomicroscopy, and direct/indirect ophthalmoscopy.

On the first day of the rotation, please report directly to Pat Johnson at 7:45 am at the GW MFA eye clinic, located at 2150 Pennsylvania Avenue NW - in the Medical Faculty Associates building
