A gracious donor has established a generous scholarship fund at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. These funds are available during the 2014-2015 academic year. The selection factors are listed below:
- Applicants must be enrolled in the M.D. program at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
- Applicants must be the direct descendants of U.S. veterans of World War II. (At the request of the donor, the family member must be the student's parent, grandparent, or great grandparent.)
- Applicants must submit documentation supporting the participation of the family member (i.e., discharge papers, etc.).
Interested parties are encouraged to submit a one to two page letter (maximum) detailing his/her ancestors' participation within the war. These letters should be addressed to the Tauber Scholarship Committee. You are encouraged to provide as much information as possible with regard to family relationship, and the actual details of the individual's participation. All supporting documentation should be attached.

Please note that a specially designated scholarship committee will award all scholarships. The actual time frame and dollar amounts have not been determined, however, the awards may be very substantial.
