Visiting the School

The Office of Admissions is open Monday through Friday from 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the exception of observed holidays. Our office is located in Ross Hall, Suite 106 (2300 I St. NW, Washington, DC 20037).

A guided tour is provided each Monday at 11 a.m. leaving from the Office of Admissions. There is no need to reserve space in advance. Please arrive by 10:50 a.m. to check in. Please note that a current photo I.D. (such as a driver's license or passport) will be required of visitors to gain entrance to the School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Parking: 

You can park in the visitors parking garage at the Academic Center/Lot 4 for a fee. This can be accessed on the south side of I (Eye) St. between 21st and 22nd Street NW. (For those with a GPS, the lot is located opposite 2129 I Street, NW Washington, DC 20037). See images below for entrance location.

Once leaving the garage, please take a left on I St and follow across 22nd and 23rd to Ross Hall (2300 I St, accessible through the courtyard). 

Driving Directions:

From North: Route 95 South to Route 495 West (toward Silver Spring) to Route 355 South (which becomes Wisconsin Ave.). Then follow directions as given in "From Northwest" below.

From Northwest: Route 270 feeds into Route 355 (which becomes Wisconsin Ave.). Proceed on Wisconsin, bearing left onto Massachusetts Avenue NW after Massachusetts crosses Wisconsin. Continue on Massachusetts until 21st street NW. Turn right on 21st Street and continue to intersection with Eye Street. Turn right and continue to 23rd street.

From West: Take 66 East over the Roosevelt Bridge Follow signs for E Street. Turn left onto 23rd Street. Continue to Eye Street NW. From South: Route 395 North to Arlington Memorial Bridge, bear left at the Lincoln Memorial, turn left on 23rd Street NW, and continue a few blocks to Eye Street NW.

By Rail/Air:

When arriving at Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) or Union Station (Amtrak), take the Metro Rail (subway) to the Foggy Bottom-GWU Station at 23rd and Eye Streets NW. Reagan National and Union Station are approximately 15-20 minutes from campus.

Dulles International Airport (IAD) is approximately 45 minutes from campus. For information visit www.metwashairports.com.
